Four Grand Junction-based companies have been selected as finalists for a prestigious statewide award.
The four companies that are now considered for the Colorado Companies to Watch Award are Skyhook Solar, SG Aerospace & Gas, In8Sync and JFS LLC.
This award recognizes growing companies for their contributions to Colorado’s economy. It is given to second-stage Colorado-based companies, or companies that are out of the start-up phase but have fewer than 100 employees.
Skyhook Solar combats climate change by engineering transportable solar generators that can be used to charge electric vehicles or shared micromobility vehicles such as e-bikes. The technology also has communications uses. The company was founded in 2019 by Daniel Delano and William Gilmore.
Skyhook Solar products are currently in use in 10 cities —including Aspen — and on two continents.
SG Aerospace and Gas manufactures products for sale in the aerospace, oil and gas and industrial markets. The company is a manufacturer for NASA’s Orion Space Program. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Grand Junction, the company prioritizes the quality of its products and the safety of its workers.
It was also recognized in 2023 by the Colorado Space Business Roundtable as well as by the Grand Junction Economic Partnership with its 2024 Spirit of Economic Development Award.
In8Sync helps hundreds of companies function more efficiently by providing support with NetSuite integration and management. The company is based in Grand Junction but has offices on four continents.
JFS LLC assists health care organizations through consulting and accounting services. The company works primarily with smaller rural health clinics and aim to help them navigate complex systems of finance and regulation. The company was founded in 2016 by Kelly Johnston.
JFS was also a finalist for the award in 2023.
The consideration of these companies for this award showcases the innovation of entrepreneurs on the Western Slope of Colorado. Winners of the Colorado Companies to Watch Award will be announced on June 21.
