Reports of shake-ups on EPIC projects in Minot, as company’s status remains unclear –

[ad_1]

WEST FARGO — A former EPIC employee who wishes to remain anonymous told WDAY News investors held an emergency meeting on Thursday, May 23. The employee said the meeting was held both virtually and on site at the company’s offices in West Fargo.

EPIC’s West Fargo office has had a sign on the door since last week that says it is open by appointment only.

A WDAY News crew spotted a number of people being let into the office. No one responded when a reporter knocked on the door of the office to seek comment on the status of EPIC companies.

While EPIC remains silent, and public officials are declining to comment due to a lack of communication from the company, reporters are piecing together the impact of EPIC’s many projects and events across the state.

WDAY’s broadcast colleague, reporter Kyara Brown at KX News, says an employee working on EPIC’s projects in the city of Minot told them EPIC leaders put a stop to the construction on the Midwest Federal Building, also known as the “The Big M.”

EPIC Companies also manages Norsk Høstfest, an annual Scandinavian cultural festival based out of Minot.

KX News reports that two of the previously scheduled acts for this year don’t show concert dates for Høstfest, and that organizers are calling a press conference relating to the matter on Wednesday, May 29.

EPIC Companies hasn’t released any public statements on their status.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
